Marina displayed professionalism and excellence from our first With Locals chat. My husband stated "She was great." And that she was. She was focused on creating a personalized tour for us and understanding our expectations for the three hours we spent together. She was adept at pivoting when we asked questions or wanted to go a different direction. I appreciate her understanding that having a coffee mid-way through our adventure was a way to share information, get to know each other, and enjoy a bit of French culture. Marina is very knowledgeable about Bordeaux, wine, and French history. She is a delightful guide. Anyone who greets you with a typical Caneles de Bordeaux pastry is brilliant. My wife, a friend, and I did a vacation through Spain and then up to Bordeaux France, where we hooked up with Marina for a walking tour. Marina proved to be very knowledgeable with the city layout, all periods of its history, and issues of the day. She knows the shopping and restaurant scene as well. Marina has an outgoing and upbeat demeanor, and is very easy to talk to. She also carries an iPad with renditions of ancient and more modern architecture that was a nice touch as we love history.

After traveling through the Basque Country in Spain, we arrived to Bordeaux. Without doubt one of the best stops on our trip. "We" is a group of 11 like-minded friends who have been traveling together for the last 15+ years all over the world. In our experience, the tour guide can make it or break it for the entire group. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Marina. She even reached out to us few days in advance to reconfirm. We felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that she deserves a special thanks. We had great couple of hours there, which obviously also added up to the experience. Marina is such a warm personality and highly educated and motivated guide with love for Bordeaux. All of us truly enjoyed walking through Bordeaux old town. The scenery and sights were beautiful and it was a relieve to walk through it. The tips and recommendations what else to explore at the end (we did go to La Cite du Vin!) and best restaurants to sample the local cuisine were a great way to end the tour. The atmosphere was very special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Marina who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide! Many thanks again and I recommend Marina to everyone!
